Shameless self-promotion?

Update: It turns out the warning about "self promotion" in the welcome email was not meant for OnSugar users. The message has now been removed from the welcome email. Problem solved!

Original post below...

The welcome email says you aren't allowed to be self-promotional on OnSugar, but what exactly qualifies as self promotion? Linking to other things I've written? Linking to my Flickr account, or my Twitter feed? Linking to friends who link to me? I imagine that cuts out a large audience of bloggers.

There's also no mention of this policy in the terms of service.

So, what qualifies as useful, but not advertising or self promotion? Let's find out. Here's an article about Drupal hosting. In my opinion, it's a useful article that I think other Drupal users will get a lot out of. It's also on topic for a blog about Drupal hosting. But, fair warning, I happen to be the author of the article, and it's on a site I own!

Testing out OnSugar

OnSugar is the newest entry to the preconfigured Drupal site market, and it's absolutely amazing. I've never used anything as intuitive as this before; it makes Wordpress look bad. If this functionality gets back into Drupal core, all the other CMS software can pack their bags and go home. Wow.

I've posted some screenshots over on my other Drupal blog.
